First look at the Honda 2022 motorcycle range at EICMA

We get a first hand look at three of the new Honda motorcycles for 2022 at EICMA, including the new special edition Fireblade, ADV 350 and NT1100.

Honda 2022 EICMA models revealed

On the opening day of the 2021 EICMA show, Honda had a couple of bikes under wraps and ready for reveal, the CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade and the ADV 350 - plus another chance to have a look at the NT1100.

Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade 30th Anniversary)

First up, the 30th Anniversary Edition CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade, which takes some of the stylistic features of the original ‘blade in a throwback of epic proportions to the original 90s style.

It’s priced at £23,999, just £500 up on the standard SP model, with around 200 numbered models due to be available - we think it’s going to fly out of dealers.

Being the SP model, it’ll naturally come with the semi-active Öhlins suspension and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), along with a few updates to gearing (to make each gear a bit shorter), the rear sprocket being upped from 40 to 43 teeth, and narrowed intake ports for more airflow.

Honda NT1100

Next, we had another look at the NT1100 - one that we recently reviewed at the European press launch in Barcelona.

Crafted as the on-road variant of the Africa Twin, the tourer will serve as a comfortable means of adventuring for long weekends two up, aided by the DCT (if you decide to go for it) and propelled by the 1084cc parallel-twin unit.

It’ll be interesting to see how it sells in 2022, particularly as there are a tremendous amount of sports tourers on the market right now.

Honda ADV 350

Last of the three reveals, we had a look at the new ADV 350. A sort of culmination of the X-ADV and the Froza 350, the ADV 350 promises to be a lot of fun - we definitely enjoyed our time with the X-ADV.

Single cylinder 330cc motor, a huge underseat storage compartment that should fit two lids, and despite no price being published just yet, we’d expect it to be somewhere around £5-6,000.

Enjoy the quick rundown of the three bikes from Toad, and we’ll see you on the next one.
