MV Agusta’s electronics package is standard for all 2026 models

MV Agusta has announced all its 2026 models are now equipped with a full electronics package as standard.

MV Agusta promises “no hidden costs, no post-purchase upgrades, and no compromises”, as its full electronics package becomes a standard feature across all 2026 models.

Regardless of whether the model is part of the company’s three, or four-cylinder family, MV Agusta will be offering the full suite of electronics at no extra cost when customers buy their new bike. The move is contrasting to a growing norm in the industry, whereby brands will fit all electronic options to a bike, and then charge customers to ‘unlock’ the extra features.

KTM is one brand to have championed this method, and despite offering customers trial or, try before you buy, periods, the practice has been generally disliked by customers globally.

Speaking about its decision to make the electronics package standard across all 2026 models, MV Agusta said this as part of a press release:

“The 2026 line-up reflects MV Agusta’s belief that advanced electronics are not optional extras, but an integral part of the modern riding experience. Riders benefit from a comprehensive suite of performance-enhancing systems, all factory-fitted as Original Equipment (OE) and seamlessly integrated into the motorcycle.”

But what are riders getting as part of the electronics package?

Well, every model will be equipped with a 6-axis IMU, Cornering ABS, three riding modes and one Custom mode, a quickshifter, Traction Control with eight levels, and Front Lift Control.

That’s far from the full list, though, as Engine Brake Control, Adjustable Engine Response, Gas Sensitivity and Max Torque Engine, both of which offer Low, Medium, and High settings, an RPM Limiter, and Cruise Control are also included.

The Custom riding mode lets users upload a personalised engine map directly from their smartphone, which can adjust the behaviour of the engine and chassis. That also includes suspension settings on models equipped with electronic suspensions. The Custom map can be named, modified, and fine-tuned even while riding. What this aims to do is offer a more refined, adaptable, and fully customisable riding experience that is more tailored to each individual.

Furthermore, the 2026 line-up benefits from either a 7 or 5.5-inch TFT display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the MV Ride App, and a GPS Tracking Device and Anti-theft system.

Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta, said this about the announcement:

“Every strategic decision at MV Agusta is driven by a customer-centric mindset. This commitment is what allows us to deliver the full experience as standard, with a transparent pricing philosophy and no hidden costs—exactly as our customers expect from a premium brand.”
