MotoGP Meets Enduro in KTM Head-to-Head
MotoGP meets Enduro racing as KTM’s Pol Espargaro and Josep Garcia do battle at the Kini Motor Park racetrack

Riding KTM 990 Duke bikes around the Kini Motor Park racetrack which is full of elevation changes, including two mesmerising crossovers, Espargaro still finds time to talk viewers through the best way of riding the naked bike around the Kini circuit despite it being a head-to-head (albeit a lighthearted one at that).
It’s a track that reminds us a lot of the famous Laguna Seca, as Garcia, who is no stranger to circuit racing after having competed in the Red Bull Rookies Cup many years ago, takes the lead and explains how to get the best performance from the 990 Duke. Espargaro, a ten-year MotoGP veteran, goes into great detail about how to approach each corner, while Garcia is following closely as he attempts to match his fellow Spaniard’s racing line.
With both riders in the pit box and discussing their experience, Garcia made reference to how much he was having to push, saying: “I tried to follow your lines but sometimes you were entering the corners too fast for me. For sure, I was pushing at the limit and I’m sure you were riding at 50%.”
Immediately at home when both riders transitioned over to the dirt, Garcia set a blistering pace although an anxious Espargaro beforehand, did extremely well as he kept pace with the Enduro champion.
Thanks to the KTM connect app both riders can see how they performed and the lines they used aboard the KTM 450 SX-F motocross bike. Espargaro and Garcia were able to compare their lines over the course of a lap while also seeing the lap times. Although there was no official result, both riders were impressive across each discipline as they highlighted how to ride on a road circuit vs a dirt track.
