MotoGP CCO Dan Rossomondo is out ahead of 2026 season
MotoGP’s commercial chief, Dan Rossomondo, will step down in January 2026, signalling a shift in the championship’s off-track strategy.

MotoGP has confirmed that Chief Commercial Officer Dan Rossomondo will step away from his role in January 2026, marking a notable change in the championship’s senior leadership team.
Rossomondo joined in 2023 and has since helped steer the commercial side of the series, working on MotoGP’s new brand identity, expanding the commercial operation, and building a team aimed at long-term growth.

MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said Rossomondo had been “an important part of MotoGP’s commercial evolution,” adding that the organisation is grateful for his contribution and wishes him well.
Rossomondo, who will return to the U.S. to spend more time with his family, said the last three years gave him a fresh appreciation for the sport, calling himself “a genuine fan” after working within the paddock.
Although he’ll leave the day-to-day role, Rossomondo will continue guiding the transition as MotoGP reshapes its commercial strategy for the seasons ahead.
The years ahead will be extremely interesting for MotoGP as a sport and its fans. Liberty Media has now wrapped up its €4.2 billion ($4.9bn) takeover of Dorna Sports, handing the Formula 1 owners an 86 per cent stake in MotoGP’s commercial rights. The deal cleared EU approval and officially closed in July 2025, with MotoGP set to tap into the same global know-how that helped reshape F1’s audience.
Dorna’s existing leadership stays in place, including CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, who will continue to run the championship as Liberty looks to grow MotoGP’s reach rather than reinvent it as a sport.
