KTM announces motocross youth team

KTM IS launching a UK motocross youth team with the aim of developing junior riders and helping them progress to adult professional status.

The Austrian firm’s youth team will compete in the British Youth Nationals, in a collaboration with MX parts specialist Judd Racing.

The succinctly titled 'Judd Orange Brigade – The Official KTM UK Factory MX Youth Team' will cater for riders in youth categories including 50cc, 65cc, 85cc small wheel, 85cc big wheel, 125cc and up to 250cc.

Race machines will be available at a subsidised cost and then equipped with KTM PowerParts. A spares budget is included the package.

Interested riders aged under 21 with ‘good national podium finishes’ are asked to email info@juddracing.com

Simon Roots, KTM UK Marketing, Events & Motorsport Manager, said: "KTM is dedicated to motocross and creating race-winning products straight from the showroom, but at KTM UK we also wanted to create a dedicated programme to help young British riders reach the very peak of the sport.”

Judd Racing MD Michelle Arnold said: "This is a great opportunity for young riders and it's something we've wanted to develop for many years. This kind of impetus is what Judd Racing feels the sport needs to push it forwards and help riders evolve and compete on an International level.  We're very excited for the future."
