Motorcycle helmet maker LS2 has revealed its third-generation Storm III lid, which claims to offer improved ventilation thanks to a new upper air intake.

The new intake works with the helmet’s integrated chin vents and rear exhausts, with the aim of delivering greater airflow around the head when temperatures rise.

The Storm III is positioned within the brand’s sports touring helmet range, and is fully homologated to ECE 22.06 standards.

In addition to its improved venting system, the Storm III’s KPA (Kinetic Polymer Alloy) outer shell has been made slightly lighter than before. The new shell claims to offer improved protection as well.

However, the overall weight of the helmet has increased by an average of 70g due to other changes. That means the Storm III has an overall weight of 1600g.

The visor is both quick-release and 3D corrected, while also being scratch and UV-resistant. Additionally, the Storm III includes a Pinlock 70 MaxVision anti-fog insert as standard.

Inside the helmet, riders are getting an antibacterial liner that is made from moisture-wicking fabric and is fully removable and washable, which also includes an extra comfort liner for longer days in the saddle. The helmet is also compatible with LS2’s Spectrum Intercom system.

Now, despite all of these updates the helmet remains budget-friendly no matter which graphic you opt for. The Storm III is available in three outer shell sizes and a total of 12 colours. That includes four solid options, and eight graphic designs.

The solid colours are priced at £139.99, while any of the eight new graphic schemes will cost you £159.99. All 12 colourways will be available at the start of 2026.
