Aleix Espargaro puts his 2020 Aprilia MotoGP bike up for sale
Ex-Aprilia racer Aleix Espargaro is selling his 2020 RS-GP MotoGP bike at a UK auction in 2026.

Three-time MotoGP race winner Aleix Espargaro is selling his personal Aprilia RS-GP20 bike as part of a UK auction hosted by Iconic Auctioneers.
Aprilia completely overhauled the RS-GP20 for the 2020 MotoGP season, as it received a new V90 engine, improved aerodynamics, a new double-rail alloy frame, and a seamless transmission. The team’s line-up saw Espargaro race alongside British team-mate Bradley Smith.
Espargaro received his 2020 RS-GP20 from Aprilia as a gift in 2022, and he has been the sole owner since. The Spanish rider has kept it as part of his private collection, and therefore it has not been used for “a while”, according to Iconic Auctioneers.
The RS-GP20 will be offered as part of ‘The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026’ on February 22. The auction will take place in Stoneleigh Park, which is located on Stoneleigh Rd, near Coventry.
As well as the RS-GP20, Espargaro is also including a helmet, leathers, boots and gloves from that season.
The bike is being presented in its original condition, and is fitted with its factory Marelli ignition system. The high-spec spec sheet continues with an Akrapovic exhaust system, bespoke Ohlins suspension, Brembo calipers with carbon front discs and full carbon fibre body.

One of Honda’s main MotoGP test riders currently, Espargaro is best known to race fans for his time spent with Aprilia. Following a difficult two-year stint with Suzuki from 2015 until the end of 2016, Epsargaro then moved to the Noale-based company, where he endured an equally tough few years.
The RS-GP was launched in 2015, which led to Aprilia spending many years developing its MotoGP prototype without much success. However, Espargaro was instrumental in helping the brand find the direction it needed, which eventually resulted in the bike becoming a regular challenger in 2022. It has remained one of the best bikes on the grid since, despite Espargaro retiring from full-time racing at the end of 2024.
