Honda’s racing uniforms are set for a big change
HRC and Mizuno Corporation will bring MotoGP and F1 together as part of a new racing uniform agreement.

Honda’s racing department is set for a big change in 2026, after it agreed a deal with Mizuno Corporation that will have a far-reaching impact on its MotoGP and F1 projects.
Until now HRC’s involvement in MotoGP and F1 has been very extensive, but there’s been many differences between both projects over the years.
That, at least in one particular area, is set to change from next season onwards. Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) and sportswear company Mizuno will bring unified racing uniforms to several of Honda’s competitive programmes.
The new clothing line will be worn by Honda engineers and staff members in MotoGP, the FIA Formula One World Championship, North America’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the IndyCar Series, the All-Japan Super Formula Championship, and the GT500 class of the Super GT Series.
It also marks the first time that HRC will use unified racing uniforms between its motorcycle and automobile categories. Additionally, it is the first attempt from Honda to share a common uniform spanning Japan and the United States.

The first event where these new uniforms will be seen live is at the IMSA pre-season test, the Roar Before The Rolex 24, which is scheduled to be held on January 17–18, 2026, at Daytona International Speedway, Florida, USA.
The full design of each uniform will be unveiled midway through January, while Honda has also confirmed that the new uniform will be available for fans to get their hands on.
Koji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation, said this about the new partnership:
“By partnering with Mizuno, a leader in sports equipment and apparel known for its advanced technology, we will create new uniforms that represent the new era of Honda HRC. The 2026 season will be a significant one for Honda, including a new chapter in F1.
“Together with the reliability and functionality cultivated in various sports fields by the Mizuno brand, HRC aims to further enhance its brand value. On domestic and international stages such as MotoGP, F1, IMSA, IndyCar, Super Formula, and Super GT, our staff will unite and give their all for victory.”
Honda’s factory MotoGP team will most likely reveal the new uniforms when it begins pre-season testing at the end of January in Malaysia.
