IT’S LATE May Bank Holiday weekend, and you know what that means…

Three days of beer, BBQs and fun in the sun? Not on our watch!

It means more motorcycle events for you to enjoy, and if you time it right you’ll be able to make it to quite a few of them.

So, what’s occurring?

What: Bike Shed London Motorcycle Show

Where: Tobacco Dock, Wapping

Editor Al will be visiting the Bikeshed this weekend, so keep an ear out for the sweary Scot.

Here’s what he has to say about it: “If you're able to get along to the show at Tobacco Dock, Wapping, this weekend, and fancy something a bit different, we reckon this is more than worth your while. Look at cool, unusual, interesting bikes, eat nice grub, have a proper cup of coffee or a premium light ale, and grab a selfie with a multiple world champion (Dainese is bringing along Giacomo Agostini as special guest on Saturday). The Prosecco DOC UK round of WorldSBK will take place at Donington Park this weekend.

Expect thrilling racing, live music, and the awesome Paddock Show, at which you’ll have the opportunity to meet the riders, win official WorldSBK goodies and try the replica machines out for size.

This one’s for all you BMW adventure riders out there. The GS Challenge will once again take place at the home of Off Road Skills (and Touratech, coincidentally).

There’s still time to sign up, and for just £99 you can spend two days riding through the Brecon Beacons and testing your off-road skills under the watchful eye of Simon Pavey and crew.

I’ll be there aboard one of the first BMW F850GS’ to come to the UK, so if you see me, pop over and say hello!

Another event in Wales this weekend, the Mach3 motorcycle and music festival promises home cooked food, live music, mass ride-outs, celebrity adventure guest speakers and best of all, an location surrounded by some of the best roads in the country. What’s not to like?

What: Overlord Military Spectacular

Where: The Lawns, Forest Road, Denmead, Hampshire, PO7 6HH

This show was a staple during my childhood, and I’m gutted to be missing it this year. If you’re a fan of military machinery then this really is the show for you. There’ll be more than 300 military vehicles – many of them motorcycles – on display, alongside 90 plus trade stalls and 30 re-enactment groups.

And if you’re lucky, you may even see a Royal Enfield Flying Flea.
