Indian Motorcycle has announced its own celebration of International Female Ride Day set for Saturday 6 May, including its own organised group ride in France.

Indian has revealed group rides, dealer events, and demo rides will be a part of their International Female Ride Day (IFRD) celebrations.

With its IFRD plans, Indian is aiming “to further empower, recognise and welcome the participation of women in motorcycling,” a press release from the American manufacturer reads.

While IFRD is, itself, restricted by geography (it will be celebrated this year in more than 120 countries), there is also one particular event which Indian describes as a “focal point” for its own celebrations.

This is a group ride planned for France. It will take place between 2-6 May 2023, beginning in Toulouse and ending in Nice. On day one, the group will ride from Toulouse to Montpellier, then from Montpellier to Marseille on day two, before heading to Nice on day three ahead of the day four ‘rest day’ and finally an IFRD event at Indian Motorcycle Nice on 6 May.

Influential names from across the online motorcycle community such as Jess Wise, Caroline Cora, Jasmine Rose, Courtney Boyd, Deimante Meilune and Sophie Molesti are all due to be taking part in the Indian group ride from Toulouse to Nice, and of course it is open to any women riders who can make it to Toulouse on 2 May.
