The newly launched Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade will make its first appearance on UK soil ahead of going on sale in 2020 at the Motorcycle Live event at the NEC.

Many of Honda’s stars from the EICMA show in Milan will be making the trip to Birmingham to go on display for when it opens on Saturday 16 November, but it is the new 214HP Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade that is likely to take centre stage.

As well as being a glimpse at the machine that will hit the road, it is a chance to get up close to Honda’s new Superbike racing weapon ahead of its 2020 WorldSBK entry – to be headed up by Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam – and possibly also Honda’s BSB bid.

Also on display will be the new 2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin adventurer tourer, plus the new revised CB1000R, CMX500 Rebel and SH125i scooter. The new Honda Gold Wing will be dcebut ing with a DCT gearbox, reflecting the options offered on the Tour model.

As well as Honda’s road-derived machines, its MotoGP title-winning Honda RC213V as ridden by Marc Marquez will be on show, together with the eight-ball prop he used to great effect when celebrating his 2019 MotoGP World Championship title win in Thailand.

Elsewhere, the Honda stand will feature interactive elements and a host of live features, plus a rolling road to give visitors the opportunity to experience the fast shifts of the DCT gearbox, as well as the ride quality of the new Africa Twin Adventure Sport’s electronic suspension system.
