Fabio Quartararo MotoGP design features on new HJC helmet

HJC has applied a winter design used by MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo to its flagship full-face helmet, the RPHA 1 V2 Carbon.

The helmet is, strictly speaking, a part of HJC’s 2026 line-up on its new RPHA 1 V2 Carbon full-face model.

Particularly keen MotoGP fans, however, will recall that Quartararo actually used this design in the 2024 winter tests. 

Either way, the design on the new model means it comes with a carbon fibre outer shell; a ventilation system featuring five intakes and four exhausts; a Pinlock-ready visor that comes with a dual-lock system for security in high-speed scenarios and is also able to be replaced without tools; and removable and washable crown and cheek pads.

The helmet is available in sizes 2XS to 2XL and for €990.90, or around £850, from HJC’s European online store. 

It also comes in a standard black carbon design and in the design Quartararo wore in the 2025 French Grand Prix.

The 2025 MotoGP season saw Quartararo on the podium only once, finishing second behind Alex Marquez at the Spanish Grand Prix. Memorably, he led the British Grand Prix for the first 11 laps before a ride height device failure forced him to retire.

Yamaha’s lack of success in recent years has led it to ditch the inline-four engine it has used in MotoGP since 2002 for a V4 engine in 2026. Quartararo himself has not been overwhelmed by the performance of the new engine in the limited testing he has done on the bike at the end of last year; if Yamaha cannot prove in the beginning of 2026 that the new engine will pave the path back to the front of MotoGP quickly, the 2021 World Champion is highly likely to depart.
