This electric motorcycle might be the nicest bike we’ve never heard of
Diem Motors, an electric startup company from Denmark, has produced its first-ever two-wheeler which is full of premium parts.

This won’t be the first time a new electric motorcycle company comes to the fore, but if Diem Motors makes a habit of producing more bikes like the new X-01, then we hope it will be around for a long time.
First seen on stage in January at the MBE trade fair in Verona, a new presentation of the electric startup’s new X-01 ‘naked’ motorcycle took place last month, in Berlin, and oh my, did it stand out.
If you’re thinking this bike looks the part but will fall short, then its premium parts kit should fill you with confidence. It features Brembo brakes, a Showa inverted fork, LED lighting, and a TFT display.
At first glance this bike doesn’t really remind you of another brand’s style or particular bike model, and that’s where its beauty lies.

More and more companies are trying to become a force in the electric motorcycle segment - some with success while others have struggled. While we’ll remain cautiously optimistic at this stage, it seems like there’s plenty to get excited about with the bike hitting the market.
So, what else do we know about the X-01? Well, it features a single-beam frame, a hub-mounted axial flux motor, and a single-sided swingarm. Designed for urban riding, Diem Motors claims the motor puts out up to 46.9bhp which keeps it inside the A2-licence-friendly standards.
The electrical components, which include the motor and battery, have also been completely manufactured in-house.
A slight concern we have, although it’s one we’ll try to gloss over for the time being, is that as of this writing the bike has no official release date or price.
