Ducati presents celebratory Desmosedici GP colours
Ducati kicks off its 2026 MotoGP preparations in style with two gorgeous one-off Desmosedici GP bikes at the Valencia test.

Ducati celebrates 2025, and looks ahead to 2026, by revealing two special liveried Desmosedici GP bikes at the Valencia MotoGP test.
The special machines are being used by Francesco Bagnaia and Nicolo Bulega as part of the end-of-season test, which takes place today.

Ducati says the new liveries are “the first act of the 2026 season” as it shapes up to celebrate 100 years as a company next year. Both designs harp back to previous racing success for Ducati, with Bulega’s yellow Desmosedici GP taking after the 750 Supersport Desmo. That particular bike won the Italian 750cc title in 1975 with Franco Uncini.
The black Desmosedici GP bike that’s being ridden by Bagnaia is inspired by the 750 Imola Desmo that became an icon after Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari claimed a one-two finish at the 1972 Imola 200 Miles.

While other brands managed to close the gap to Ducati during the 2025 MotoGP season, the Italian manufacturer was still in a league of its own, especially with Marc Marquez.
The Spaniard won the 2025 title in dominant fashion, which is his seventh title win in MotoGP, but first with Ducati.
The combination of Marquez and the Desmosedici GP25 was victorious on 25 occasions, which includes both Grand Prix and sprint races. Marquez also won the Riders’ World Championship with five rounds to spare.
Marquez won the championship in Japan, one round before suffering a season-ending injury in a collision with Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi at the Indonesian MotoGP.
Ducati’s racing success in 2025 was not just limited to MotoGP, as the Italian marque enjoyed another strong campaign in WorldSBK, where it won its 21st Manufacturer’s World Championship.
Bulega finished second in the championship behind Toprak Razgatlioglu, who is moving to MotoGP with Yamaha in 2026.
