True Enterprises, also known as True, is a British tech mobility company that will handle the distribution of Yadea scooters and motorcycles across the UK, after announcing the new partnership at MCL.

The new agreement will see True and Yadea deliver four models to the UK, which are the GFX moped, Owin and Velax scooters, as well as the Keeness motorcycle.

Standard equipment aboard all four models includes GPS trackers, removable and swappable lightweight batteries, Bluetooth connectivity, and the Yadea app for key sharing and other system management features.

The GFX comes with a price of £2,200, and a range of 30 miles, while the Owin scooter gets a 50-mile range, and a price tag of £2,700.

Both are considered “City Commuters”, making them the right option for getting around London or other big cities in the UK. On the other hand, the Velax model leans more towards “open road” riding, according to Yadea. Priced at £3,900, the Velax comes with a 68-mile range.

Finally, the most sporty of the four models is the Keeness motorcycle, which reaches a claimed top speed of 68mph - 18mph more than the Velax - has a range of 80 miles, and a price tag of £5,900.

The Keeness makes use of a 7kW Mid-drive motor, a 72 V 32 Ah Lithium battery, and produces 221.2 Ib-ft of torque.

The Yadea GFX, Owin, Velax and Keeness models will go on sale in the UK from December. Each model also includes a two-year guarantee.

Speaking about the new partnership, True founder and CEO, Shirley Tsao, said:

“The ability to move from place to place, even small distances, can really change city life for the better. The dawn of affordable, easy-to-use e-mobility has only accelerated this, and our mission is to bring this to more people.

“The UK is not synonymous with two-wheelers, which dominate most other markets, especially in the urban environment. Greater adoption of accessible, sustainable and fun two-wheel mobility in London and other British cities is going to have a universally positive impact, and that’s why we have established True and why we are so excited about our partnership with Yadea.”

With a claimed global following of 100 million users, Yadea has been the world’s number one two-wheeler brand by volume over the last eight years, according to the Chinese company.
