Moriwaki’s take on the Honda CB1000F will be hitting the track at Suzuka
We haven’t even seen the official Honda CB1000F in action yet, but Moriwaki has already done its ‘thing’ with this custom race bike.

Honda and Moriwaki has pulled the wraps off a trick new version of the CB1000F Concept - a bike that hasn’t even been officially launched yet!
The CB1000F Concept seems like it's been doing the rounds for years now already, with first reports and teasers for the model appearing as far back as 2020. Fast forward five years and we are still yet to see the thing in action - although that changes this August.
Honda is using the iconic Suzuki 8 Hour event as the launch pad for the new bike, showcasing it to the world on the hallowed asphalt that the automotive maker owns lock, stock and barrel. And it’s not just the official ‘Concept’ version of the pretty retro that is getting a thrashing on the track, as the fabled performance parts maker and tuner Moriwaki has been let loose on a version of its own.

In true Moriwaki style, the bike oozes race-ready attitude, with vertical number boards on the seat unit and a fly-screen looking like nailed-on accessories for when the bike does actually land. Moving to the bottom of the bike, we can see a specially designed belly pan rounding out the aesthetic tweaks.

No Moriwaki design study would be seen dead without some proper performance parts fitted to it, and on that front, the Japanese tuning house didn’t hold back. The most noticeable part is the expansive radiator with custom pipework and plumbing, but the real jewel of the job is hidden away at the back of the bike. Nestled at the back of the frame is a beautiful aluminium swing arm, which bears more than a passing resemblance to a Metmachex item. The swingarm is joined by new forks, Brembo stoppers, racy-looking clip-ons and, naturally, a full system exhaust from the Moriwaki from its ‘Blade’ series.
But alas, at the time of writing, we still can’t tell you if the CB1000F will make its way to Europe and the UK. Honda has several models in the Asian range (Hawk 1100, CB1300) that would be big sellers on this side of the planet. Sadly, for one reason or another, they never found their way onto a container ship. Hopefully, that isn’t the same case with this latest model.
