After starting 2026 the same way it ended 2025, that being the best-selling modern classic motorcycle in the UK, Honda’s GB350S has again been toppled by the BSA Bantam 350 in April.

The GB350S, according to statistics provided by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA), topped the modern classic sales charts in January with a total of 79 units sold.

However, since then it’s been all about the Bantam 350 which sold 129 units in March, a tally that is the highest for any modern classic dating back to June, when the GB350S sold a total of 159 units.

BSA’s Bantam 350 led the way in April 2026 with 71 units sold, meaning it has now topped the segment in five of the last seven months.

There’s been little to choose between both models since the Bantam 350 was launched in the summer of 2025, which is also true regarding the price for both models. The GB350S is available in the UK for £3,999, while the Bantam 350 undercuts its rival at £3,499.

The two models are also similar in terms of performance, although the Bantam 350 produces slightly more power (28bhp at 7,750rpm), compared with the GB350S’ 20bhp at 5,500rpm. Both machines also produce 21 Ib-ft of torque from their sub-350cc engines.

Despite its defeat to the Bantam 350 in the modern classic sales charts for April, Honda did maintain its position at the top of the naked motorcycle segment. The A1-licence CB125F has gone unbeaten in terms of monthly sales so far in 2026, topping April’s charts with 123 units sold.

That was also the highest number of any motorcycle across the month of April, which is the second time it’s achieved that feat this year.
