BMW’s R 12 nineT roadster can now be turned into a Flat Tracker
BMW has revealed a new accessories package that will transform your R 12 nineT roadster.

Perhaps considered one of the most customisable BMW machines across its entire motorcycle range, the R 12 nineT can now be turned into a flat tracker courtesy of an accessories kit that’s available straight from BMW.
So what goodies do you get with the new package? For starters, you will get a traditional flat track short rear end that’s finished in a Blackstorm Metallic colourway. A license plate holder is also available in black or silver), while multifunctional indicators are included.
A colourway that’s been used on several BMW models in the past, the Blackstorm Metallic paint scheme is also found on the flat tracker-style cockpit fairing, and on the 17-inch front wheel cover. Additionally, a special ‘Tracker’ sticker set is included.

However, if you don’t want to invest in the entire accessories kit, or you don’t want to do so all in one go, you can buy these items individually.
The Flat Tracker kit is already available to buy, but when it comes to fitting the accessories, the German manufacturer is advising that you have it carried out by an authorised BMW Motorrad dealer.
A key thing to remember is the race number you see in the image above is not included in the package, so for those of you interested in adding a personalised number, you will need to buy that separately.

As part of its press release regarding the race number, BMW says: "The race number panel offers space for individual design – the race number itself is freely selected and attached by the customer."
The package is homologated with the vehicle, meaning there’s no additional registration needed before riding your R 12 nineT.
