BMW K1600 range gets new Style Edition II updates
BMW Motorrad is updating all of its K1600 models, including the K1600 GT, GTL, Bagger, and Grand America.

BMW Motorrad has confirmed that Style Edition II updates are coming to its complete range of luxury touring motorcycles.
The Bavarian manufacturer’s updates cover new colourways for the most part, although the K1600 GT does receive new optional equipment as well.
The optional equipment allows customers to personalise the wheels of their K1600 GT, which includes specific Style Edition II wheel tape. Outside of that, we’re only talking about new colours as the major change for each K1600 model.

Sticking with the K1600 GT, the previous Option 719 Blue Ridge Mountain metallic and Exclusive Gravity Blue metallic colourway is no longer available, according to BMW. Instead, it has been replaced by a new Imperial Blue metallic option, while a new black seat is available alongside forged wheels.
In terms of the K1600 GTL, the luxury tourer gains everything that the GT model does, while also getting rid of the same colourway as mentioned above.
Meanwhile, the K1600 Bagger and Grand America also benefit from the same Imperial Blue metallic paint scheme, although they are shelving the Option 719 Ionic Silver metallic option. BMW says these updates will be available from August.

At the heart of the K1600 range is BMW’s oil/water-cooled six-cylinder power unit, which produces 157.8 bhp at 6,750rpm and 132 Ib-ft of torque at 5,250rpm.
These updates follow on from BMW recently teasing a new K1600 B bagger, which was soon followed by the reveal of its new Vision K18 concept, which was unveiled at the annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

BMW’s luxury tourers are considered one of the main rivals to Honda’s iconic GL1800 Gold Wing. The K1600 GT is BMW’s entry-level model when it comes to price, as it will cost customers £21,640 compared to £25,799 for the GL1800.
