Bimota BX450 off-road racer is Italian company's "essence"
Bimota has added a new enduro racer to its line-up which can be fitted to compete in national championships.

The new Bimota BX450 is the Italian brand’s entry into the world of enduro, using a Kawasaki as a base.
That latter point is hardly a novelty by Bimota by now, even by now in this third week of March 2026. In fact, the BX450 was announced on the same day (18 March) as the Bimota KB399, which is derived from the Kawasaki ZX-4RR.

The BX450, on the other hand, uses the Kawasaki KX450X as a base, and Bimota puts its flavour on top of the Kawasaki foundation from there.
The engine and frame are the same on the BX as the KX, but there are some differences beyond the looks – the Bimota featuring an almost retro-ish look and the Bimota colours of red, white, and black.
The technical specifications of the BX450 include an Athena GET ECU with fuel injection settings designed specifically for the Bimota. Two maps are available on the ECU, as well as 10 traction control settings, and a launch control mode can be selected via a controller on the handlebar.

The specification is completed by Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme Supersoft tyres, an Akrapovic titanium silencer and a smaller auxiliary fuel tank.
Additionally, accessory parts will be available for the BX450 that will allow it to compete in the Italian Motorally and Raid TT series within the national championship.
“For us, racing isn't a category but it's our essence,” said Pierluigi Marconi, COO of Bimota.
“When we look at our enduro bike we don't see something completely new, we see a new challenge. Entering the world of enduro wasn't a strategy for us, it was simply following our DNA.”
The Bimota BX450 will be available from early May with prices starting at £10,599.
