Vespa Primavera and Sprint S get 2026 styling and safety updates
Two new 2026 model updates have been announced by Vespa, with refreshed Primavera and Sprint S scooters.

The Vespa Primavera and Sprint S have both undergone updates for the 2026 model year, as recently confirmed by the famous Italian scooter brand.
The two scooters are available in three different engine sizes: 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc, as well as two electric options with removable batteries. The difference between the electrics is that the ‘Moped’ choice is speed limited to 45kph (28mph).

This is all fairly standard by now for the Primavera and Sprint S, though, so what’s actually new this year?
In terms of technical specifications, the headline is the new rear disc brake that Vespa is touting as a key safety improvement. To be more specific, the traditional drum brake is replaced by a 220mm disc at the rear which is paired with a dual-piston calliper. The rear brake operates both in combination with the front brake and with ABS.
Both bikes, in all power unit options bar 50cc, come with Vespa’s keyless system now, too, and a new LCD dashboard comes on everything apart from the ‘Tech’ variant of the Primavera, which retains its full colour five-inch TFT display. Vespa MIA also comes as standard on the Primavera Tech to allow the rider to display their phone functions on the dash; this is also available as an extra on the other Primavera and Sprint S models.

On the surface, the 2026 Sprint S and Primavera models all come with new five-spoke 12-inch wheels. The Sprint S also gets a new five-slot front grille, while the Primavera’s mudguard crest has been updated “with a degree of attention to detail that is unprecedented in the world of two-wheelers,” Vespa says. You also get a hook under the handlebar of the Primavera for carrying a bag – this is a returning feature that had been absent in the previous iteration.
The 2026 bikes are available in a range of colours. For the Primavera: Bianco Innocente, Nero Convinto, Verde Amabile for all electric and combustion choices, while the combustion bikes specifically are also available in Blu Energico and the all-new Beige Avvolgente colours. The Primavera S is also available in the new Giallo Disinvolto colour, while the Primavera Tech gets the Blu Energico Opaco and Grigio Ottimista Opaco options.
For the Sprint S, Bianco Innocente, Rosso Coraggioso, Blu Eclettico are available for the petrol bikes, while the electric options are available in Nero Convinto Opaco and the new colour: Verde Ribelle.
