German manufacturer Trinity has launched a 2026 update to its Jupiter GT electric maxi scooter, which sports a usable range and capable performance.

According to Trinity’s own optimistic marketing, the Jupiter GT is “the best e-scooter in the universe”. With no alien powered two-wheelers, of any kind, yet discovered by humanity, the Jupiter GT’s only competition at the moment is confined to the electric scooters created on earth, and against those it stacks up fairly reasonably.

There’s no hyperdrive or black hole generator to slow the passage of time, but there is a fairly handy electric motor with a maximum power output of 23bhp (17kW) which allows for a top speed of 120kph (75mph) in the bike’s standard variant, or for 125kph (78mph) in the P-Line variant.

It’s less the outright performance and more the duration of that performance, though, that is of interest with the Jupiter GT, since its 11.2kWh battery can last for up to 300km in the Jupiter GT 300 version. There is also a 200 variant with a corresponding reduction in the maximum range. Additionally, the battery can be charged between seven and 12 hours and is rated to last for up to 1,300 charge cycles.

With the battery (which is a bit essential in electric scooters) included, Trinity says the Jupiter GT weighs in at 183kg.

The scooter rolls on 13-inch wheels with tyres from Michelin. A single front brake disc leaves one side of the front wheel exposed and operates with ABS. Traction control is also  included.

German manufacturer Trinity doesn’t yet appear to have a dealer network in the UK, but in Europe prices range from €7,499 (£6,500) to €8,559 (£7,500) for the 200 version; and from €7,999 (£7,000) to €9,059 (£7,800) for the 300 version.
