This Moto Martin CB1100, formerly owned by Henry Cole, is for sale
A very rare Moto Martin Honda CB1100, recently owned by TV personality Henry Cole, is now up for sale in the UK.

Recently released from Henry Cole’s private collection, this pristine 1982 Moto Martin Honda CB1100 has amassed 28,500 miles, and has gone up for sale through the West Midlands Motorcycle Centre.
The British dealer, which is known for selling Ducati, Triumph, BSA, Harley-Davidson and Honda motorcycles, is asking a price of £16,995. The bike is up for sale on the official Car and Classic website, although information beyond its current mileage total is scarce.
What we do know is that the bike was recently released from Cole’s motorcycle collection, and that it uses a 1,062cc inline-four engine with an output believed to be around 113 bhp.

The famous presenter of The Motorbike Show and Shed & Buried, has notoriously been a fan of Moto Martin CB1100 machinery over the years. In fact, one particular bike was restored during an episode from series 10 of The Motorbike Show. The bike from the video is seen wearing a Suzuki-inspired livery, rather than this deep red colourway.
Viewings for the 1982 Moto Martin that is now up for sale are by appointment only, according to the listing, while a deposit of £200 will be required to secure the motorcycle.
The bike’s official description from Car and Classic reads:
“A rare example of the already scarce Moto Martin CB1100, recently released from Henry Cole’s private collection. [It is] a highly collectible machine that seldom comes to market.
“Presented in excellent overall condition, it starts, runs and rides well. Showing just 28,500 miles. V5 [document is] present. Historic status - Tax and MOT exempt. A genuine enthusiast’s classic, suitable for collection, shows or enjoyable road use.”
Moto Martin was created in the 1970s by Georges Martin, in France, with the engineering company known for developing high-spec frames that could be used on production models at the time.
