More performance than you could ever need.
Price is so hard to justify.
With the excitement surrounding the 1098, MV's 1000F4 has been somewhat forgotten. The launch of the latest 312R indicated we've been negligent. Perhaps grossly. A track focused beast of beauty, works on every level

Overall Review

Trully beautiful bike. Very quick. Feels much more special than a Jap four. Too expensive when new. The Italians always seem to want to produce fewer at a higher cost. Look at the F1000. It finished with the Pista and the Tambo. Ridiculous proces. it's a shame because sensible prices would sell more bikes. Should have been made by Ducati in 1997 with a V twin. Nearly right.

Strengths

Beautiful even now. Fantasic sound with the right pipes. Down shifting is a real joy. Engine roar, burble from the exhaust. Very fast. Engine pulls well from low revs and keeps on going. Instruments easy to read and have some good features, track timer etc. Relatively comfortable. Lots of upgrade and bling parts to be had. One of Tamburini's classic designs and therefore special. MV very good under warantee. No arguements, they simply change the parts.

Weaknesses

Build quality. 2 side stands, one radiator, front wheel bearings. Did not pay 14,250. If I had then I would have taken it back. Fuelling at low revs. it goes from 1500 to 3500 with nothing in between. Suspension is hard and difficult to get right.
