Yamaha XSR900 GP receives Legend Blue refresh for 2027
Yamaha has revealed a new Legend Blue colour scheme aboard its flagship Sport Heritage motorcycle, the XSR900 GP.

For the second day in succession, Yamaha has refreshed its Sport Heritage range with a new Legend Blue colour scheme aboard the XSR900 GP.
Yamaha launched the new colourway just one day after revealing the Neon White variant of the standard XSR900.
The XSR900 GP acts as the company’s flagship model within the range, and the new 2027 colour reinforces its ‘Grand Prix’ heritage more than ever.
The 2027 model, which remains unchanged mechanically and technically, pays homage to one of Yamaha’s most recognisable racers of the 1980s - former French Grand Prix rider, Christian Sarron.

The new Legend Blue paint scheme is reminiscent of the colours used by Sarron’s title-winning Sonauto Yamaha.
Sarron made 148 Grand Prix starts over the course of his career, which includes appearances in the 250cc, 350cc and 500cc classes.
It was the 250cc class where Sarron achieved his world championship win in 1984, with his last season coming in 1990 (500cc class).
The XSR900 GP, which is known for its distinctive racing design of the 1980s and 90s, continues to be powered by the brand’s 890cc liquid-cooled inline-three engine.
The CP3 motor produces a claimed 87.5kW (around 117.3bhp) at 10,000rpm and 68.5 Ib-ft of torque at 7,000rpm.

The bike’s new colour scheme is complemented with light blue speedblocks on the side fairings and tank, flanked by yellow stripes.
The yellow number plates on both the front fairing and seat cowl are there to give the bike even more racing appeal.
As well as the new Legend Blue option, the XSR900 GP will continue to be available in the company’s striking Legend Yellow colourway.
According to Yamaha, delivery dates to European dealers and prices vary depending on the region, meaning customers can find out this information by contacting their local dealer.
