Yamaha has been awarded the ISO 20121 sustainability certification
Yamaha has retained the ISO 20121 sustainability certification for a second year as a result of its planning and execution in the FIM R3 BLU CRU World Cup.

Yamaha has been awarded the ISO 20121 sustainability certificate once again, thanks to its planning and execution of the FIM-licensed R3 BLU CRU World Cup.
For those of you who might not be too familiar with the R3 BLU CRU World Cup, it is a racing series in conjunction with the FIM World Superbike championship.
Yamaha is the sole provider of motorcycles in the series, providing young riders with equal R3 machinery.
The ISO 20121 is an International Standards Organisation for sustainable event management, which allows organisations to integrate sustainability into different areas of event planning and execution.
It takes into consideration social, economic and environmental impacts, the standard encourages practices, eco-friendly and socially conscious matters.
Michael van Zomeren, Director Marketing & Motorsport, and Management Committee member at Yamaha Motor Europe N.V, said: “The FIM R3 BLU CRU World Cup goes beyond simply racing. While the series is proof of Yamaha’s commitment to offering young riders an affordable platform to make the transition to racing on the world stage, it’s also important to share with them and others the message that it is possible to race in a more sustainable way.
“We have taken great steps in sustainability with the series in 2025, including becoming the first international motorcycle racing series to run on 100 per cent sustainable fuel, supplied by our partner TotalEnergies. Retaining ISO 20121 certification shows that we have significantly reduced the environmental impact of the series, while still providing a fantastic championship in which young riders can showcase their talent on the world stage.”
Yamaha has backed the R3 BLU CRU World Cup since its inception in 2021.
