One of the most popular modern classic motorcycles in the UK since its arrival last summer, the BSA Bantam 350 is now getting a sidecar option from UK specialists Watsonian.

Watsonian has a plethora of sidecar options that are available across different brands and models. But until now, there had been no sidecar option for the BSA Bantam 350.

Keen for that to change, the Bantam 350 can now be paired with the Squire SB1 sidecar, taking the total price for both machines (have to be bought separately) to £8,995.

The Squire SB1 sidecar has been built exclusively at Watsonian’s Cotswold factory, and it features a GRP fibreglass body inside a gloss black gelcoat finish.

According to Watsonian, the Squire SB1’s heavily valenced mudguard and 10-inch steel wheel creates a “timeless appearance, which complements the Bantam's retro style”

It also benefits from integrated LED lighting which is fitted to the mudguard and connected to the motorcycle's loom. The chassis is pre-set for toe-in, lean-out and axle-lead on the Bantam 350, meaning it can be detached and reattached by the owner, following basic instructions which are supplied with the outfit.

Watsonian Squire Managing Director, Ben Matthews, said this about the new collaboration:

“We have a great working relationship with BSA and it's rewarding to develop new products with British brands. The 29 bhp Bantam is more than capable of powering a lightweight sidecar and is the perfect introduction to 'a bit on the side' for novices”.

If you’ve been sticking with Visordown for all your motorcycle news recently, you might have noticed that the BSA Bantam 350 and the Honda GB350S are continuing to lock horns with regards to which model is the best-selling modern classic in the UK on a monthly basis.

In January it was the GB350S that took top spot, however, the Bantam 350 led the way in February. We will soon find out which model topped the sales charts in March, unless a different motorcycle manages to jump ahead of them both.
