Triumph announces Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition winner
Triumph has confirmed Michael Swanwick as the winner of its Gentlefolk Prize, which sees him land the company’s special Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition motorcycle.

Derbyshire’s Michael Swanwick has been awarded Triumph’s special Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition after winning the company’s Gentlefolk Prize.
Swanwick won the award thanks to his overall contribution at this year’s Triumph-supported Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, which saw a total of $7.53 million (around £5.7 million) raised for Movember.
To enter the Gentlefolk Prize competition, participants are required to complete four steps including a rider profile, making a personal donation, supporting another rider, and raising at least $250 (around £187), all before the campaign closes.

The 2026 DGR event took place on Sunday, May 17, with 123,600 riders contributing to 1,071 rides in 109 countries. This means the 2026 event produced the highest number of rides in the event’s history.

Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles, said:
“This is our 13th year as the official motorcycle partner of The DGR, bringing riders together in style, community, and purpose. With the support of our Team Triumph ambassadors, it’s inspiring to see Triumph owners around the world taking part and raising record sums to contribute to the continued success of this remarkable event.”
In terms of the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition that was won by Swanwick, the bike is a one-off edition of the new Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer that’s limited to just 800 units worldwide.
Mechanically, Triumph left the DGR edition unchanged from the limited Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer, meaning it produces 105bhp and 83lb-ft of torque. Chassis hardware is the same across both bikes, as are the Marzocchi forks, Öhlins twin shocks, and Brembo Stylema calipers.
