The bike boasts a higher spec level than the stock Moto Morini X-Cape 700, including more tech, equipment, and, of course, gold wheels!

Moto Morini is bringing a bit of sparkle to its middleweight adventure bike line-up this summer with the launch of the X-Cape 700 Gold Edition—a glammed-up version of the already well-specced X-Cape that’s aimed squarely at riders who like their off-roaders with a bit of shine.

Set to land in Italian dealerships from June 2025, the Gold Edition is Moto Morini’s new flagship in the X-Cape 700 range, and it's had a few choice upgrades to match its premium billing. The most noticeable update is the addition of anodised gold tubeless spoked wheels - previously, they were black, and the X-Cape 650 was the only model to get gold rims.

And it’s not just about the bike's looks. The Gold Edition gets some proper functional upgrades too, in the form of heated grips and a heated rider seat, which both come as standard on the Gold Edition. Traction control is also now part of the package, including the ability to switch it off altogether for proper slidey off-road shenanigans.

Underneath, it’s the same 700cc parallel twin pushing out a respectable 68bhp and 50.2 ft-lbs. The punchy twin is backed up by a well-chosen equipment list, as the X-Cape 700 Gold Edition comes loaded with premium kit straight from the factory.

Suspension duties are handled by adjustable Marzocchi forks up front and a KYB rear shock with remote preload adjustment. Braking is courtesy of a Brembo system paired with switchable Bosch ABS, while a slipper clutch and mid-mounted exhaust round out the mechanical package. Tech-wise, you get a 7-inch TFT display with integrated app-based navigation, tyre pressure monitoring, a built-in dashcam, and both USB and USB-C ports for charging your devices. Other thoughtful touches include full LED lighting, a centre stand, handguards, and engine heat shields.

All in, the Gold Edition is the most complete X-Cape 700 yet, aimed at riders who want a bit more style and tech without big-bike price tags. And at €7,940 (around £6,500), it continues the X-Cape 700’s tradition of delivering seriously good value for money.

Available in Red Passion, Carrara White, or Black Ebony, the X-Cape 700 Gold Edition goes on sale through Moto Morini’s Italian dealer network from June 2025. There is no word on whether it will land in the UK, or if the addition of traction control will find its way onto the next generation X-Cape 700 we get here.
