Shelsley Walsh Bike Bonanza Returns this July
The annual Bike Bonanza at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb is taking place on Saturday 5, July
The annual Bike Bonanza at Shelsey Walsh Hill Climb is back in 2025 as the event is set to celebrate 120 years since motorsport action was first held at the venue.
An event that usually brings plenty of thrills and spills, more than 100 riders are expected to take part in the race on Saturday 5, July.
The high-octane event features everything from classic motorcycles to various roadgoing classes, all of which will take on the narrow 1000-yard track.
Riders will be divided into four classes based on bike capacity, while three-wheelers are also set to take part in the action.
The 2025 Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb will also welcome a new category as the Lansdowne classic racing series will make its debut at the event, with 1950s and 1960s Grand Prix heritage bikes set to compete.
Continuing the heritage theme, next month’s event will mark 50 years since Barry Sheene’s first Grand Prix win aboard a Suzuki RG500. As a result it’s believed a demonstration run including three running RGs will take place, led by none other than former teammate Steve Parrish.
While the entertainment is likely to steal the show, the event is aiming to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Furthermore, a charity ride-in from Strensham Services will take place and it will again be led by Parrish. A donation of £3 will be taken from each ride-in ticket.
