Scott Redding to Make Sensational BSB Return at Knockhill
Former BSB champion Scott Redding will make a surprising return to the series this weekend with Ducati, replacing the injured Glenn Irwin.

Scott Redding will make a sensational return to BSB action at Knockhill this weekend, as he replaces Hager PBM Ducati rider Glenn Irwin, who remains sidelined following his crash at the Snetterton round.
Irwin fractured his sacrum, which is a bone at the bottom of the spine, leading to the team searching for a replacement.
Redding will step in for the Northern Irishman, and in doing so will be back aboard a BSB-spec Panigale V4 R for the first time since winning the championship in 2019 with the PMB Ducati outfit.
Redding, who made his return to Ducati machinery with MGM Bonovo Racing for the 2025 WorldSBK season, after three years riding a BMW M1000 RR, has found the transition difficult as he currently sits 13th in the championship.
Eager to make his BSB return, Redding said: “It’s exciting for me to be back racing in front of the BSB crowd this weekend at Knockhill. Obviously, I have some really great memories with the team from when we won the title back in 2019 and, as always, I want to do the best job I possibly can for myself, our sponsors and the team.
“I want to put on the best performance I can with this opportunity and I also want to wish Glenn a speedy recovery from his injuries.”
Following this weekend’s replacement ride at Knockhill, Redding will again be racing in the UK as WorldSBK heads to Donington Park for round seven of the season.
