Former PB writer killed at Isle of Man

Kiwi racer Paul Dobbs involved in fatal crash on TT circuit

A NEW Zealand motorcycle racer and former Performance Bikes contributor has died in a crash during this year's Isle of Man TT races, organisers have announced.

Paul Dobbs, 39, was involved in an accident on the Ballagarey section of the 37.73-mile track during Thursday's Supersport race.

Mr Dobbs, an experienced TT racer, had finished 22nd in Monday's first Supersport race.

Jim Parker, chairman of the Auto Cycle Union, which organised the race, said: "Paul was a really popular rider in the paddock and was a great competitor.

"He was a very talented rider who made many friends in the racing community and he will be sorely missed."
