Brad Jones Update | Jones is set to be discharged from hospital

Having passed all the required markers to be discharged, Brad Jones is free to continue his recovery

MSVR last night released an update regarding the health of iForce Lloyd & Jones British Superbike racer, Brad Jones.

Jones was involved in an accident in the opening round of the 2021 BSB championship at Brands Hatch. He suffered neurological injuries as well as chest and pelvic injuries in the crash.

He has no though been fully discharged from King’s College London, after being cleared to leave having passed all the markers required to be heading home.

The full statement reads:

Brad Jones (iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW), who sustained injuries following an accident during the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship race at Brands Hatch on Saturday 24 July, has now been discharged from King’s College Hospital London.

Following detailed assessment by the medical team, he passed all markers required in order to be discharged.  His recovery path, particularly with regards to neurological aspects, will be long and he will continue to receive intensive neurological and occupational rehabilitation therapy from home with private care.  

On behalf of the family, Brad’s father Tim Jones wishes to sincerely thank all of the medical staff, marshals and all within the BSB community, who have provided so much support.
