Long associated as a BMW accessory specialist, Wunderlich has teamed up with TracTive, a specialist suspension maker, to create aftermarket suspension solutions for a range of different motorcycles.

The new range of equipment not only covers manually adjusted suspension, as found on bikes like the Yamaha Tenere 700, but also plug-and-play electronically controlled and semi-active products, for bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4 S and BMW R 1300 GS. The kits comprise both rear - and front - shocks, as well as full cartridge kits for some of the most popular adventure touring motorcycles on the market.

TracTive is a big name in the off-road world, making suspension systems for a vast array of machines in the power sports sector - motorcycles, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles and more. It has worked in both the aftermarket sector and created specialised OEM suspension solutions directly for manufacturers.

TracTive states that the heart of these electronic dampers lies in its patented Dynamic Damping Adjustment (DDA) valve, which, compared to the factory valve found in OEM electronic suspension systems, features a broader and faster adjustment range. TracTive claims that adjusting the damping of its products, when the terrain changes, for instance, can be done in just 6-10 milliseconds.

It also claims that the DDA valve is superior to the OEM valves in terms of both control range and speed, and that the suspension maintains the ability to switch between a bike's suspension modes - sport, touring, or adventure, for instance.

Wunderlich also states that it offers an individual suspension set-up service, which requires you to provide the driver's weight, potential passenger weight, and luggage, as well as their driving style,  whether it's sporty or touring. Based on this information, TracTive and Wunderlich will provide you with the most appropriate setting for your bike, and the way that you ride it.
