Oxford launches packable EXO windproof for under £60
Spring might be on the horizon, but the wind hasn’t got the memo — and Oxford reckons its new EXO jacket is the answer.

Oxford has added a new budget-friendly layer to its ATMOS range, and while it may not be full-blown summer jacket weather just yet, the new EXO Windproof Jacket looks ready to step in when the temperature hasn’t quite caught up with the calendar.
Priced at £59.99, the EXO focuses on taking the sting out of windchill. It’s built from an ultra-lightweight 30D polyester with a TPU-backed windproof membrane, which is designed to keep warm air in without turning the jacket into a sweat-filled bin liner. Oxford claims the densely woven fabric still allows vapour to escape, which should help keep riders comfortable as conditions change.

The jacket uses a slim, rider-focused cut with four-way mechanical stretch, aiming to provide freedom of movement without bunching up under your main riding kit. Details like a dipped rear hem and semi-elasticated cuffs and waist are intended to seal out draughts, while a mid-height collar with brushed lining and a chin guard should help prevent irritation on longer rides.

As you’d expect from a layering piece, bulk has been kept to a minimum so it can sit comfortably beneath a protective outer shell. It’s also fully packable, folding down into its own chest pocket — handy for those days that start cold but warm up once the miles tick by.

Practical touches include zippered hand-warmer pockets, overlocked internal seams for durability, and a windproof under-placket to stop air sneaking through the front zip.
For riders heading into early spring — or those who simply run cold — the EXO can also be paired with Oxford’s HEATCORE base layer when the mercury really drops.
It might not be time to retire the winter kit just yet, but for less than sixty quid, this is the sort of jacket that could easily earn a permanent spot in your tailpack.
