Triumph has revealed a special one-off DGR edition of its new Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer.

At the end of January, Triumph revealed the new Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer, which is limited to just 800 units worldwide. However, an even more limited version will be given away as the main prize for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) in 2026.

Visually there are two key differences between both models, with the DGR edition gaining a bespoke Harris Tweed seat. It is made from authenticated, handwoven fabric from the Outer Hebrides, Triumph says. Additionally, the number 15 that’s positioned just below the seat is painted in gold.

Mechanically, Triumph has left the DGR edition unchanged from the limited Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer, meaning it produces 105bhp and 83lb-ft of torque. Chassis hardware is the same, as are the Marzocchi forks, Öhlins twin shocks, and Brembo Stylema calipers.

The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition will be awarded as the Gentlefolk Prize. To enter, riders must register on the official Gentleman's Ride website and complete four different steps.

Those steps include completing a rider profile, making a personal donation, supporting another rider, and raising at least $250 (around £187), all before the campaign closes.

Registrations are already open for the global DGR event, which takes place on Sunday, 17 May. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride raises funds and awareness for men's mental health and prostate cancer research. In 2025, 127,000 riders took part across 1,038 rides in 108 countries, raising $7.6M (approximately £5.7 million) for Movember.

A spokesperson from the official Harris Tweed Authority said this about the new prize announcement:

“It is exciting to see Harris Tweed used in this way for the creation of the Gentlefolk Prize Motorcycle. Just as The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride and Triumph have taken their unique style and quality around the world, our Harris Tweed is handwoven in the Outer Hebrides and recognised and valued around the world; a global symbol of craftsmanship, tradition, and enduring quality. We are proud to contribute to a motorcycle created to help raise money, celebrating global unity and the collective impact of riders everywhere.”
