SW-Motech has introduced a new Pro Blaze pannier kit, which has been enhanced over the previous version, and is designed with Kawasaki’s middleweight Ninja 500 in mind.

The new system uses bike-specific brackets and removable support arms to mount and dismount the panniers, which it claims can be attached or removed in seconds. When the support arms aren’t needed, they simply ‘click off’, which then gives the Ninja 500 its traditional, clean look.

SW-Motech claims its new 2025 Pro Blaze system features a more intuitive locking mechanism than before. Whether you’re trying to fit the system with or without motorcycle gloves on, the attachment is said to be a quick and simple process.

In order to remove any doubt about whether the system is fitted correctly, a new coloured indicator shows you when the pannier system is securely attached. The system has also been specially designed for high-mounted exhausts, and the Pro Blaze H version is tailored towards bikes like the Ninja 500.

Each pannier offers between 15 and 20 litres of storage, and they feature laminated EVA plastic for greater strength. The outer material is made from UV-resistant 1680D ballistic nylon, with a water-resistant interior liner fitted to keep your stuff dry.

The new pannier kit features a top-loading main compartment and a zipped outer pocket. The complete system for the Ninja 500 can be bought for £362, including VAT. It also comes with two saddlebags, waterproof inner bags, paint protection film and all the required fixings.
