Museum full of racing history will open to the public this month
The FIM has confirmed its new Racing Motorcycle Museum will open to the public on 18 February.

The FIM’s new Racing Motorcycle Museum, which features historic race bikes from different eras, will officially be open to the public on 18 February.
The new museum is based at the former FIM headquarters in Mies, Switzerland, and will showcase exhibits centered around three main pillars, including ‘Heroes, Technologies and from Race to Road’.
This means visitors will also have the chance to explore different areas of racing, such as technology, equipment and engineering. However, the star attractions for many will likely be the motorcycles that are put on display.
Some of the bikes that will be on show include the Ducati Desmosedici GP25, which Marc Marquez won the 2025 MotoGP title with. There will also be Toprak Razgatlioglu’s BMW M1000 RR, which the Turkish rider won the 2025 WorldSBK championship with.

But if we take a step back from the present era of racing, and instead head back to the 1940s, a 1949 AJS Porcupine which Leslie Graham rode to the first-ever FIM 500cc Grand Prix title with, is also part of the museum’s new line-up.
Additionally, bikes such as Mike Hailwood’s 1967 Honda RC166 and Jonathan Rea’s 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, which carried him to the second of his six consecutive WorldSBK titles, will also be on display.
Jorge Viegas, FIM President, said this about the museum:
“The FIM Racing Motorcycle Museum truly is a remarkable collection, and to walk among the exhibits is to take a journey through the illustrious history of motorcycle racing, from its formative years all the way through to the present day. Much more than just a display of classic machines, the RMM gives visitors a valuable and interactive insight into the heritage of the sports we all love, helping to develop a better understanding of the emotions and innovation involved.”
More information about tickets, which will be available to buy soon, can be found on the official Racing Motorcycle Museum website.
