A video has appeared of the much-anticipated Triumph motocross bike, of which finally have our first (low quality) look.

Since Triumph announced they were preparing to enter the world of dirt bikes in 2021, the anticipation around the motorcycle that will represent the brand in motocross has only grown. With the announcement of their MXGP team and their SuperMotocross team last year, and the confirmation that Triumph’s dirt bike racing debut will be at the first AMA Supercross round of 2024, the fact that we were still without a look at the bike only grew more frustrating.

Finally, we have our first look. It is not a great quality video, or an official launch photoshoot, but it is a video of what seems to be Clement Desalle - one of two recently announced test riders for Triumph’s motocross project - riding the new bike. It is not confirmed, of course, by Triumph themselves, but sources more deeply in the world of motocross seem to be in agreement that this is the bike.

We do not get much detail, but what is immediately noticeable is that the frame is aluminium. This is important, since there were rumours that the bike would be a KTM clone and, no matter how much Triumph insisted it was an ‘all-new’ bike there remained a degree of uncertainty.

Check out the video below.

Triumph will enter its first respective seasons of the MX2 World Championship and the 250cc class of the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX, and thereby its constituent series AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross) in 2024, before debuting its 450cc motorcycle in competition, in the MXGP World Championship and 450cc class of SMX in 2025.
