Triumph launches new Street Scrambler in Milan

TRIUMPH used this year’s Eicma show to launch the latest addition to its modern-retro lineup – the new Street Scrambler.

It’s powered by the Street Twin’s 900cc twin-cylinder engine and built around a new chassis that’s unique to this bike, with dedicated suspension for when the need to go scrambling arises.

The brakes are uprated too and it comes on Metzler Tourance tyres.

If you’re familiar with the Bonneville range, the styling will make sense and feel familiar because the Street Scrambler uses the stripped back, minimal styling of the Street Twin. It also boasts some scrambler-specific features like that bash plate, high level twin exhaust and rear mudguard, and adventure-style foot pegs.

There are also removable pillion pegs, an interchangeable pillion seat, rear rack and an Alcantara-style seat that’s ribbed for your pleasure.

Like the Street Twin, the Street Scrambler comes complete with all the good electronic safety stuff including switchable ABS and traction control, USB port, LED rear light and ride-by-wire throttle.

You can get it in three colours: ‘Jet Black’, ‘Matt Khaki Green’ and ‘Korosi Red and Frozen Silver with jet black hand painted coach lining and unique tank decals’.

The Street Scrambler follows the recently announced Bonneville Bobber and and Bonneville T100
