Yamaha specialists and new 2021 British Superbike Champions Raceways Yamaha have announced it will produce a limited run of replica Yamaha R1 sportsbikes to celebrate its and Tarran Mackenzie’s title glory.
The outfit behind the McAMS Yamaha squad that marched to the BSB title this season, Raceways won its first championship with Mackenzie in their fourth season working together, while team-mate Jason O’Halloran ended the year third.
The pair notched up 21 wins and 41 podiums from 33 races in a dominant showing from the factory-backed Yamaha entry.
In a year that has seen Yamaha almost sweep the board in MotoGP, BSB, WorldSBK (pending the final event where Toprak Razgatlioglu leads by 30 points), WorldSSP and MotoAmerica, Raceways will toast its success with a limited edition run of 10 replica Yamaha R1s to signify each of the Scot’s victories.
Each machine will have a unique designation, with a customised top yoke to detail which win the motorcycle represents, plus built to order parts from the GYTR Pro Shop and technical suppliers.
Machines #7 will come with a McAMS 25th Anniversary colour scheme, while #10 will bear a golden No.1 plate.
Coming in at £29,995 OTR, Mackenzie will personally hand the keys over to each buyer of the motorcycles, plus they will get a track day with Tarran and Niall Mackenzie at Silverstone.
McAMS Yamaha is yet to announce its riders for its 2022 BSB title defence. Mackenzie had been tipped to progress to WorldSBK with Go Eleven but the deal fell through after the Italian outfit signed WorldSSP graduate Philipp Oettl instead.
