OUR MAN Simon Hancocks is in Milan as we speak, seeing the new 2019 Ducatis at a SUPER PLUSH A-lister event.

Ducati kicked off - as they always do - with some slightly worthy stuff - new colours and graphics for the Scrambler range, and then another look at its new electric mountain bike.

Next came a new Monster 821 Stealth - a new version of the entry level machine with a neat little nosecone, 43mm Kayaba adjustable forks, and an up/down quickshifter. Nice!

Ducati boss Claudio Domenicali then turned to the Multistrada range, with a quick look at the 1260 Enduro that we've already ridden. Then it was time for a new 950 Multistrada, with updated Bosch IMU rider aids, new wheels, revised bodywork, and a general overhaul all round...

Next is another 950 - this time the Hypermotard, in base and SP versions. The base bike is slimmer, and 3kg lighter, and also gets a 4bhp power boost. The SP adds Ohlins and forged wheels, and all the usual chassis upgrades...

From the ridiculous to the sublime next - with an all-new Diavel 1260 range. Totally updated, it aims to mix the best of the naked and cruiser worlds. Sounds good to us..

Saving the best for last though, we saw two new versions of the amazing Panigale V4. Introduced by Chaz Davies, a new Panigale V4 Corse and the V4R homologation race bike came on stage. The Corse has fancy race paint and plenty of posh jewellery - it's designed to look like the bikes used at the Race of Champions at World Ducati Week this year.

The big deal was the V4R though. It has a 998cc motor, that puts out a frankly astonishing 221bhp, in a 193kg kerb-weight chassis. Wowsers. Carbon wings, titanium con rods, forged pistons, we're just scanning the press pack right now... More on all these bikes coming up asap.
