Benelli 600RR spied in finished form

The latest super sports challenger from Benelli has been spotted in its final form

Benelli 600RR

THE new 600cc sports bike from Benelli has been spotted in what looks to be a full finished form.

The bike is the first middle-weight sports bike from the Italian/Chinese tie-up in quite some time, and it’s clear from the latest images that it’s nothing like Benelli has built before.

The bike will be launching into the competitive middle-weight sports bike sector, doing battle with the likes of the Honda CBR650R and Kawasaki Ninja 650, matching them both in that it will be legal to restrict to A2 compliancy.

The bike is closely related to the Benelli 600i naked machine that has been doing the rounds recently and features all-new bodywork, seat unit, and headlight arrangement. Beneath the angular fairings is a Euro5 compliant, four-cylinder, 84bhp engine, producing a healthy but not stellar 40ft-lb of torque. Like the 600i, the new machine wears an underslung exhaust, USD forks, Brembo brakes, and a neat looking TFT dash.

Weighing in at 215kg the new bike from Ben’ isn’t the most svelte machine on the market coming in a tad more than the Honda it’ll compete against and a massive 28kg more than the claimed wet weight of the Kawasaki. It could though be a cost-effective buy for somebody looking for a sporty 600 machine though, as the new Benelli is likely to undercut both its main rivals on price.

No official launch date has been released as yet, neither has the price. Once we know both of these we will be sure to update you.
