KTM Clears Restructuring Hurdle: Court Gives the Green Light
Production to resume by the end of July as KTM AG, Components and R&D arms exit restructuring.

The Austrian powerhouse behind KTM, Husqvarna, and GASGAS is officially moving past a rocky patch, as the regional court in Ried im Innkreis has now legally confirmed the restructuring plans for three key arms of the group.
The legal rubber-stamping relates to KTM AG, KTM Components GmbH, and KTM Forschungs & Entwicklungs GmbH, and follows the expiry of a two-week appeal window. It also marks the end of a critical restructuring process for the Pierer Mobility-owned brands. The proceedings had been initiated earlier this year as part of a wider shake-up within the group, which has faced rising production costs and supply chain turbulence across Europe.
The plan includes a 30 per cent payout to creditors based on recognised claims, which will now be handled by the restructuring administrators. It’s not a full recovery, but it's a legally binding resolution that allows KTM and its affiliates to move forward with a clearer outlook.

Gottfried Neumeister, CEO of PIERER Mobility AG, said:
“I am relieved and grateful that we have finally been able to close this difficult chapter. Our focus is now on ramping up production at the end of July and realigning the group."
Neumeister also gave a nod of appreciation to Dr. Ulla Reisch, one of Austria’s top insolvency experts, who helped guide the companies through the multi-pronged proceedings.
So, what’s next for KTM? With the paperwork behind them, all eyes are now on the production lines in Mattighofen. If things go to plan, we could see fresh bikes rolling off the line again by late July, just in time for the tail-end of the summer riding season.
One thing’s for certain: this isn’t the end of KTM’s story. If anything, it’s a new chapter, albeit one that comes with a slightly lighter wallet, and we hope, a sharper focus.
