Michael Dunlop receives MBE from the King
33-time Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop has received his MBE from King Charles.

Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop has been honoured with an MBE for his service in motorcycle racing by King Charles, at Windsor Castle.
Dunlop became the new all-time leading winner at the TT in 2024, surpassing the tally of 26 victories that was previously set by his late uncle, Joey Dunlop.
Michael Dunlop now sits alone as the only rider to eclipse the 30-win mark, as a further four victories in 2025 took his overall total to 33. Dunlop’s victories came in the Supersport and Supertwin classes, where he won both races in each category.
As a result of his incredible achievements in motorcycle racing, which extends far beyond just the Isle of Man TT, Dunlop was awarded his MBE on Tuesday, 4 November.
Speaking on social media, Dunlop expressed his gratitude, saying: “I’m deeply honoured to have received my MBE today from His Majesty the King. It’s a privilege to have my work and achievements recognised in this way.”
By receiving his MBE, Dunlop now joins fellow TT legend John McGuinness in being honoured in this way. A 23-time winner at the TT, McGuinness was awarded his MBE in 2022.
While Dunlop’s tally of 33 wins at the TT is very impressive, his consistency has been just as eye-catching. Dunlop has won at least one race at the TT since 2016. His first victory came in 2009 when he won the second Supersport race.
In 2025, Dunlop also took part in the 24-hour race at Le Mans aboard a BMW M1000 RR, alongside Danny Webb and Enzo Boulom.
