Vertu Motors has pledged £650,000 to the new site, which will see the Honda motorcycle dealership move from Haydn Road to a new two and four-wheeled dealership on Lenton Lane, Nottingham. The new location will boast an outdoor café – good for if restrictions still limit meeting inside – and a two-story showroom offering new and used Honda models.
The store will also house the obligatory clothing and accessory store, while a servicing and MOT station will also be built.
The staff at the new site will be overseen by Mark Goode. He said:
“This investment will create a focal point for bikers from right across the East Midlands, with expert sales and service colleagues who are passionate about motorcycles. Our whole team at Nottingham are bikers themselves.
“It will be much more than a sales outlet, although we will offer a wide range of new and used motorcycles and with the facilities on offer, a superb ride-to destination and community hub for bikers.”
Vertu recently became the biggest Honda dealership in Europe after the acquisition of the Hepworth Honda dealership in Huddersfield. The move to expand the motorcycle side of the business at this new premises could lead to a similar story in the two-wheeled side of the business.
