Two Wheels for Life offers MotoGP fans chance to meet Rossi

Motorcycling charity Two Wheels for Life is offering MotoGP fans the chance to meet heroes Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales

Throughout the 2018 season, each MotoGP racing team will be holding a fundraising auction for Two Wheels for Life, with prizes being given to the winners at one of the races. Repsol Honda was first up, with delighted auction winners meeting Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa at the following race in Jerez. Now it's the turn of Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales and the Yamaha Movistar team.

Twelve auctions are being held in total and the Yamaha Movistar auction marks the halfway point. Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales have donated the prizes, which they’ll present to the winners at the German Grand Prix.

The star prize is the opportunity to spend time with the two riders and the rest of the team over the race weekend at Sachsenring, plus access to team hospitality and a tour of the pit box.

The MotoGP riders are fully committed to the Two Wheels for Life cause. Handing over prizes in person means they can enjoy meeting the winners and really feel part of this exciting fundraising mission. Marc Marquez said: ‘Its important for all the riders to be involved...we are really happy and really thankful to all the fans that bid.”

Two Wheels for Life support programmes in sub-Saharan Africa that make sure health workers have reliable motorcycles and other vehicles so they can reach people in remote communities with the care they need.

Two Wheels co-founder and CEO Andrea Coleman said: “What we really want through these auctions is for people to be able to come and enjoy the paddock and enjoy the racing and feel part of what MotoGP™ really is. And we want them to contribute to Two Wheels for Life’s lifesaving work.”

Randy Mamola, MotoGP legend and Two Wheels for Life co-founder said: “I have to thank Dorna in the strongest possible way and the riders and the teams. We’re now reaching more than 15 million people; that’s something huge. This work is making a real difference to people’s lives.”
