Jazz genius Chris Dagley loses life on way home from gig

ONE OF THE UK's leading jazz drummers has been killed in a motorcycle accident.

Chris Dagley, 38, was killed on his way home from Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, where he played as a regular, when his motorcycle crashed on the A40 dual carriageway near White City. There were no witnesses.

During an illustrious career, Dagley, who leaves a widow and three young children, had played with the BBC Big Band and big pop names including Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Lionel Ritchie, Gary Barlow, Westlife and The Osmonds.
