Witnesses sought after Leicestershire armed robbery

Police need biker's help

POLICE are looking for a motorcyclist who may have seen an armed robbery in progress.

Two masked men went into a post office at Syston, Leicestershire at around 4pm on 25 January with a gun, while two others waited at the door. The men threatened staff before getting away with cash.

No-one was hurt during the raid but Police are now trying to trace a motorcyclist who was seen in the area at the time who may have information about the robbery.

The four offenders made their escape in a red car which had been parked on Upper Church Street. It was involved in a collision with two other vehicles as it sped away. So they’re probably not the smartest of people.

Det Con Stuart Frobisher said: "We are particularly keen to trace a
motorcyclist who was nearby as this person may be a vital witness."
