NIU UK has announced a new partnership with the British pro surfer Alys Barton as part of a sustainability drive.
Barton owns a NIU NQi GTS Extended Range, featuring a 4.6kW (6.2hp) motor and 2.1kWh lithium-ion batteries, which allow for speeds exceeding 50mph and a range of over 80 miles.
The 19-year-old is already a champion surfer at English, British, and European Championship level, and is aiming to become the first person to represent Team GB in surfing at the Olympics at the Paris 2024 games.
"Sometimes I'll take the longer route because I enjoy riding it so much,” Barton said of her NQi GTS Extended Range. “It's like I'm going on an adventure, and it adds a bit more fun into my day."
